A Backpacking Missionary

The words of Ephesians 3:20, which glorify our God who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, are ringing true in my life this year! I have always wanted to be a missionary, but never dreamed I could be a backpacking missionary! It makes perfect sense, something only God could have prepared for me to do. All people need Jesus and backpackers are people, therefore, they need Jesus too. I get to be the one who tells them of this good news, offer them true hope and salvation! This year, I will be a missionary to the backpackers of the world. You probably knew this already, but I wanted to share it with you again and hope that you will remember how faithful our God is and how perfect His plan and His timing are, not only in my life, but in yours too! Wherever you are at and whatever you are going through, be reminded that God has has an awesome plan and He is working it out in your life!

I understand the need to continually be relying on God, not only while in ministry, but every day of my life. So, I am asking my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ to join me in prayer. I will do my best to keep this blog updated with my circumstances and the specific prayer needs I have.

At this time, please pray for:
~ My 6 weeks left at Ashford University--I want to be a diligent and faithful worker as well as a loving example to my co-workers
~ Wisdom in planning and preparing (so much to do and so little time!)
~ My 5 weeks left with my roommates--may the fellowship we share be encouraging and faith-building
~ The 30-day backpacking NOLS class in June--I will need supernatural strength to carry my 50 pound pack, but more importantly the spiritual strength and boldness to live out the example of Jesus with my 11 classmates day-in and day-out.

Thank you for reading and praying!
Blessings to you!
